American Livestock Breeds Conservancy

Nonprofit membership organization working to protect over 150
breeds of livestock and poultry from extinction; the pioneer
organization in the U.S. working to conserve historic breeds and
genetic diversity in livestock.

The Small Farmer’s Journal has steadfastly held that the most

The American Grassfed Association.

The goal of the association is to promote the grassfed industry
through government relations, research, concept marketing and
public education.
The American Aberdeen Association, headquartered in Parker,
Colorado requires that all Fullblood American Aberdeens have
DNA parentage verification to assure their genetic purity
providing a breed integrity that is unmatched among other small
breeds.
North Central Region SARE (NCR-SARE) is one of four regional
offices that run the Sustainable Agriculture Research and
Education (SARE) program, a nationwide grants and education
program to advance sustainable innovation to American
agriculture.
Eatwild was founded in 2001. Its mission was to promote the
benefits—to consumers, farmers, animals, and the planet—of
choosing meat, eggs, and dairy products from 100% grass-fed
animals or other non-ruminant animals fed their natural diets.
Eatwild is now the #1 clearinghouse for information about
pasture-based farming and features a state-by-state directory of
local farmers who sell directly to consumers.
