The Rockford Area Historical Society offers something for everyone!

Plan to spend the second Saturday of every month with us for history classes, community events, craft and trade demonstrations, tours, and the company of some wonderful people.

Let us know what you're interested in! We're always seeking new programming ideas!
Our classes for 2011 have focused on paper...making it, writing on it, forming it into books, and using it as a means of communication.

Above, making box kites in June from wooden dowels, garbage bags (could also use paper!), and electrical tape.

Right, a beginners book binding class gave participants a chance for some highly detailed work.
